The GHFC Podcast #29: ‘40 Years On...Chris’s Story’
Thursday Jul 07, 2022
Thursday Jul 07, 2022
In GHFC Podcast #29 we hear the 5th story in our series of 10 stories, each one representing the career paths taken by fellow students having completed their initial Tertiary Qualifications in Quarry Engineering…way back in the early 1980’s!
It is important that I point out that these reflections simply serve as a point of reference for everyone, not just those in the Engineering sector, to fully appreciate that although you may embark on a set career path in your late teens or early twenties, it does not have to be life defining.

In this podcast I am going to provide an image, not exactly a pleasant image, by no means gory or sexually explicit as seems to be the genre of the day, however extremely unpleasant all the same.
Then I will follow up with how Toxicity impacts on Corporate Culture in 2022.
I can guarantee the subject matter will be controversial and to some extent polarising…but it is what it is. Decide for yourself!

In Podcast #20 I share with you a recent article by The GHFC as published on Sourceable.net, titled: ‘Workplace Mental Health in the UK Construction Industry’
'Those of us involved in supporting the mental health well-being of our community, are well aware that we are in the midst of a mental health pandemic, by no means exclusive of the covid pandemic.'
'However, we are also aware that the construction sector is heavily impacted by a diminished level of mental health well-being among its workforce.'
'Finger pointing is always a cop out!' 'Ridicule is for the immature!'
